‘A tradition of excellence, a future of opportunity’
The Sixth Form at CGS provides a range of A levels that will enable students to progress onto virtually any course in higher education, apprenticeship or employment. With very strong pass rates over the recent years we support students to fulfil their potential and go on to their chosen next step.
Of course, The Sixth Form at CGS is not only about work – ask any present or past student! We are told by our students that they enjoy their time with us, taking the opportunity to participate in the wider life of the Sixth Form, developing wider skills of independence and responsibility in the process.
All that we ask of students is that they show commitment in their contribution so that their time here is profitable.

Casterby House provides the Sixth form with their own base, which includes teaching rooms and study and social space. Sixth Form also have access to ‘Coffee Club’ throughout the day in the Lower Lindsey Dining Room, as a further study and social area. There is an ongoing commitment to improving and adapting the facilities available.

Our Personal and Professional Development Programme offers a number of activities, beyond the academic curriculum. You will be able to participate in a wide range of activities, developing skills such as time management, leadership, and teamwork.
Students are encouraged to take on a leadership role and can do so through a variety of areas – as House Officials, Sixth Form Council, Prefects, Performing Arts Leadership, through Young Enterprise Scheme, Well being and subject mentors, Med Soc, Eng Soc. If you can’t find a club or society for you, you can even start a new one!
Our volunteering scheme, sees some of our Sixth Form students offering their time on Wednesday afternoons to help those in the local community. It provides a chance for students to give something back to others, potentially making their life better. In the past, students have supported the Caistor Rock Foundation along with Caistor Heritage Centre. Others have volunteered at local nursing homes with a view to moving into a medical career. Students find these opportunities extremely rewarding.
Throughout your time as a sixth form student CGS  you will be encouraged to contribute as fully as possible to the life of the school and the wider community.
