Welcome to the Friends of Caistor Grammar School
A very warm welcome to all the new parents and students. When you joined the school in September you became Friends of CGS. Friends include anyone who helps with school activities, whether they have students at School or not.
Friends support School in many ways, such as raising funds to provide your children with equipment that School wouldn’t otherwise be able to fund. Over the years Friends have raised significant funds which has been put to good use for the benefit of all students.
We welcome your help, not only by attending the school when your child is involved in something, but also in other ways. If you feel you can contribute to the student experience in any way, please get in touch via email.
In particular we need help with the following:
- Serving refreshments at numerous school events
- Helping with fundraising
- Organising and selling pre-loved uniform
- Finance & Accounts experience – We need a new Treasurer! – training given.
- Help with the school production
- Work experience placements
Friends meet up roughly once or twice a term depending on what is coming up, and the minutes are emailed out to members to keep you informed. We hope you will join us in furthering the experiences of CGS students.

Upcoming Events
Hello Everyone,
We hope you are all well, it’s been a while since we had a get together, so we have planned a SOCIAL evening on Thurs 16th May at 8pm at Caistor Sports and Social Club. Come along for a catch up over a few drinks if you can it will be lovely to see you.
The next Friends meeting will be held on Mon 3rd June at 6pm in classroom 06 (next to reception)
We are still in need of a new Treasurer – if your good with numbers and would like more information please come along as we always have an account update at the meetings.
Looking at the school calendar we have four remaining functions for which we will need some volunteers:-
Wed 8th May – Open Evening 5.45-815pm in the Dining Hall
Wed 26th June – New Year 7 Induction Evening serving Refreshments and selling Pre-loved Uniform.

Wed 10th July – Summer Concert in school – Evening

Tue 16th July – School Walk – daytime
serving refreshments to students along the route and designated pit stops.
