‘Crazy For You’ tickets now available!
Fasten on your spurs and get ready for a ride out to the wild west of Nevada for this year’s Caistor Grammar School production, George and Ira Gershwin’s ‘Crazy for You’! Rehearsals have been ongoing since before the Summer holiday but have really stepped up since our return to school, with every Sunday turned into a singing and dancing spectacular in the Newbolt Centre. This year’s show tells the story of Bobby Child, a starstruck banker with dreams of Broadway, sent to Nevada where, with the help of Zangler’s Follies, he turns the resident cowboys into stars, saves the local theatre and – just maybe – wins the girl of his dreams in the process! Filled with some of the most memorable songs from the great American songbook, including ‘Nice Work if You Can Get It’, ‘Embraceable You’, ‘Someone to Watch Over Me’ and ‘I Got Rhythm’, this is a real feel-good show with slapstick comedy, dance routines worthy of the West End and just a dash of romance! As ever, this year’s production is a testament to the wealth of talent the school boasts, whether in our cast, choir, orchestra or technical team; we are also indebted to the many parents and guardians who have supported the show in any capacity.
Performances will take place in Caistor Town Hall on Tuesday 15th, Wednesday 16th and Thursday 17th of October, with all performances starting at 7pm.
Tickets are available through ParentMail shop and are priced at £15 for adults, £10 for OAPs and students, and £7.50 for under 18’s, with reduced ticket prices available for the Tuesday performance (£12 for adults, £8 for OAPs and students, and £5 for under 18s). Tickets can also be bought directly from the school office for those who are unable to pay via Parentmail. We expect all three nights to sell out so please don’t leave it late and risk disappointment.
